Welcome to the Website of All Saints Church, Edmonton, North London

Our newly restored church tower. Our church tower was restored between 2015 and 2016, thanks to a generous grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund.

Resuming Worship at All Saints:

All Saints, Edmonton will open for public worship from Sunday 26 July. Due to the social distancing restrictions in place, and other safeguarding measures, our capacity for worship will be greatly reduced. To ensure that everyone who would like to resume worship at this time can do so, we will be holding two Parish Mass services at 9.30am and 11.00am. Due to restricted numbers, there will be a requirement to ‘book’ in advance for these services. The process for this is very simple - see below. This will help us avoid turning anyone away at our doors who wants to worship. Other churches with large congregations like ourselves are having to do the same thing. For those of you who will be shielding or who are continuing to avoid public gatherings, our current format of online worship will be continuing on our YouTube channel for the foreseeable future.

Please call 07434 638790. You will be invited to leave a message, indicating the date and time of which service time you are booking for, together with your full name, the total number of people in your household who will be attending if applicable and a contact phone number. If in the event that we would need to manage numbers, we will contact you, but otherwise you will not need or expect any confirmation of your ‘booking’. Just arrive at your service time.

Our provision for children and young people

We continue to welcome all of our church family at this time, including children and young people. We regret that due to the current guidance regarding safety of worship, we are unable to open up our children’s area as we would normally have it on a Sunday morning. Parents and carers will need to keep young children with them during the service. There will be no Sunday school provision over the summer, however again, we will make further announcements on this in the Autumn.

Thank you and Saying Goodbye to Father Stuart, Susie and the boys

Father Stuart’s last Sunday with us on Sunday 12 July was very special. There was a real sense that we managed a good ‘farewell’ even though it was not in the way any of us would have foreseen or planned for. We look forward to welcoming Father Stuart and his family back at some point when we are able to say our farewells in person. Our prayers and blessings go with them all the way to St. Peter’s, Berkhamsted, and this next stage of their life and ministry together.

Opening All Saints for private prayer and midweek worship

We will make further announcements in the coming weeks on our provision for keeping the church open for private prayer and resuming midweek worship, in particular the Wednesday morning mass. You will understand that we will not be able to keep the church open in the way that it has been in recent weeks but we are hoping we can open it one or two mornings a week for private prayer in the coming weeks. We will be making further announcements on the resumption of the weekday Mass, but this is unlikely to be before September.

Funerals may now be conducted in church again, but with restrictions on numbers to ensure public safety (a maximum of thirty mourners is permitted). Singing is not permitted, as it is believed to increase the risk of transmission of the coronavirus.

It will be a source of great joy to have the doors of All Saints open once more, as a place of prayer, peace and hope.

We will continue to produce video material to support people as they pray and worship in their own homes.

The videos will be uploaded to our YouTube channel, and there will also be links via Facebook and Twitter: ?
